After producing coffee for many years, these trees become non-productive and dormant. The dormant tree is removed from the ground and replaced with a new tree. At this point, we hand pick from the removed trees choosing only those that meet our stringent requirements. We then painstakingly debark, hand sand, and kiln dry each tree for 10 days. The drying process helps prevent our Java Trees from splitting, unlike other trees used as playstands. Our Java Trees are so unique, each demands a custom built tray of its own. To contain mess, we build each tray three inches larger than the Java Tree on all sides. Our craftsmen then hand carve artistic bird designs into every tray. We seal the tray with a non-toxic water proof finish, add casters for mobility, and the Java Tree is complete.
The Tree illustrated is the Extra Large Java Tree, each tree is unique in its dimensions. The height of the java trees are estimated between 5-6 feet tall and all the bases measure 4ft x 3ft the only difference is the diameter of the branches with the smaller tree having smaller diameter branches going up to the extra large which has thicker branches, please check each tree to see the suitability for your bird.
